As a proactive measure within its fleet renewal program, ANC successfully concluded the sale of the M/V ALOE, the oldest vessel in their fleet.
Built in 2007, the M/V ALOE had been an integral part of the ANC fleet since 2009. The vessel, which belonged to the reputable Trader-type series, served the company diligently throughout its years of operation.
On the 13th of November 2018, the M/V ALOE was officially delivered to its new owners in the port of Newport, UK. This strategic decision aligns with ANC's commitment to optimizing their fleet and maintaining a modern and efficient lineup of vessels.
Thanks to this fleet renewal initiative, ANC has significantly improved the overall age profile of their fleet. Presently, the average age of ANC's fleet stands at an impressive 6.8 years, a stark contrast to the global fleet average of 14.6 years and the Greek owned fleet average of 11.5 years. This achievement underscores ANC's dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry by incorporating state-of-the-art vessels into their operations.
The sale of the M/V ALOE represents a milestone in ANC's ongoing efforts to ensure operational efficiency, enhanced performance, and environmental sustainability. By continually upgrading their fleet, ANC reaffirms its position as a forward-thinking and responsible player in the maritime domain.
As ANC continues to evolve and optimize its operations, this fleet renewal program sets a precedent for their commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining a competitive edge in the dynamic shipping industry.
