3rd Ariston Navigation Seafarers Conference

​The third Conference was a 3- day event and had an attendance of about 60 Deck and Engine officers and ratings. The speakers were from ANC Piraeus Head office and  ANC Manila office staff.
 
The topics covered Operational, Technical, Crewing matters and Safety (SMS) updates. Adding new topics such as how to deal and communicate with PSC Officers during inspections, as well as case studies in fuel supply diagrams and the ordering of spares.

​The Human Element in shipping and vessel’s operation was introduced together with the annual review of 2016 with crew statistics results and various important KPI’s.

The ANC Career development latest updates were also presented to the delegates.
 
Finally, the main speaker, Mr Katsivardelos, ANC crew manager, introduced the Crew open forum, an open discussion panel between crew and managers.

The conference was concluded with the customary basketball game between the Managers’ team and the Seafarers’ team.
