ANC participates in third time in the succesfull Adopt a Ship program

Adopt a Ship is a project based educational program that aims to educate and inform students about the shipping industry.

The program was designed to build awareness about the Seafarers life at sea to influence young people to seek careers in the shipping industry at sea or shore, while increasing empathy for the seafarer.

Each company participating in the program assignes  a ship to a school classroom (4th, 5th, 6th grades) and the students have direct email communication with the vessel, captain and crew thus learning about daily duties and activities, cargo carried, trading pattern, routes, loading and ulloading port operations.

The students learn about the importance of shipping in everyday life as well as its significant role in the historical, economic and cultural development of nations.

​Ariston is a strong supporter of educational programs that promote the shipping industry to young students.
