The presentation was excellently delivered by Captain David Nichol, Senior Loss Prevention Executive of Thomas Miller/UK P&I Club in Piraeus. It raised many safety issues and caused many discussions and exchange of ideas on the presented subjects, with the issue of Seafarers Mental Welfare being the centrepiece, which underlines the importance of the Human Element in Shipping Operations. The presentation was the first of a series of similar in-house seminars that Ariston is planning, aiming to give added value to the Loss Prevention policy of the Company. More in-house seminars and presentations have been scheduled for the coming months tailored to the needs of every department with the highlight expected to be in June 2018 at the Ariston Crew Conference in Manila has been invited, where the UK P&I Club is being arranged to deliver Loss Prevention presentations to the attending Officers and Ratings. |
